got hit by a car today...

I live in the small city of Charlotte, and today i have come to the fact that seriously and truly people cannot drive! they suck.

I own a car, but i love to ride my bike everywhere, specially when places i frequent are short distances or even walking distance from my home (less then a mile from Downtown Charlotte)

For lunch today i decided i wanted soup so on my way to pick it up, in the intersecton of camden and park rd, i got hit by a white seddan, i tried to break but he was coming, it was a stop yield sign so i went. Next thing i know i was on the hood and my leg pined between my bike and his car, it sucked yea, but the guy was just as scared as i was he said he did not see me!!.. i was ok, helmet on, no damages.

A nice Nurse and some others got out of their cars to call the ambulance but i told them it was not necessary. Now im at home eating soup with a baby scratch and a giant bruise on my leg.

why cant we all be more bike friendly? gaah.

The peaPod story

When me and my boyfriend Blaine started dating, i got him into liking

one of my favorite bands, PLUSHGUN, we made eachother cd's , and one of the Plushgun songs we love is "just impolite".

Our favorite lyrics of the song are "it just seems like we're two peas in this pod we call NewYork..." SO this is where this Peapod necklace comes into the story. For Christmas Blaine made me a silver Peapod necklace with pearls (representing us) and my birthstone in the middle.

It came out beautifully!! i loved it then and i love it now, the crazy thing is that i lost it once and i got it returned to me (long story)

He also gave me a promise ring for my birthday early this year, it has a matching stone :)

I got a new camera, its a cannon, it takes way better pictures, but i needed a new one to take pics for our trip wednesday! :) i am not a camera nor picture person, thus keeping my old camera, but now i got a new one! yay it was about time.

Abby moved to New York, but i will get to see her next week, because im going there for 5 days!

There has been chaos in Charlotte, because one of our historic landmarks, and favorite restaurant, "The Penguin" thats has been even featured in the Food network many times, is changing management. The owners of the bulding and the owners of the actual restaurant wont come to an agreement, so the owners of the bulding (which also own the name) are kicking the others out, and taking over the place, starting a franchise of the penguin opening a new location as well. The current penguin staff and managers will go to the Diamond (a restaurant thats beside penguin) and starting a new there, wich will bring all old penguin cutomers there. Starting OCT 24 when the Penguin will be managed a new, there will be a BOYCOTT, im going to be a part of it as well.
